Dear Beloved Fellow Mi 5s users!

Finally, the very much awaited MIUI V8.2 Global ROM is now released for Mi 5s!!! All thanks to the hardworking Xiaomi's MIUI developers working all-round-the clock, and to the alpha/ beta team members whom had done a closed-group alpha/beta testing before it release to the mass public! Here is the MIUI V8.2 ROM's highlights and downloads.

Lockscreen, Status Bar, Notification Bar
  • New - Fingerprint can be used as the Privacy protection password (11-21)
  • New - UI adjustments for toggles (12-15)
  • New - Battery saver toggle can be added to the Notification shade (12-15)
  • Optimization - UI adjustments for screen lock, password, and fingerprints (11-21)
  • Optimization - Changed icons for USB charging and switching keyboards (12-01)
  • Optimization - Floating notifications won't appear in DND mode (12-13)
  • Fix - The first notification couldn't be removed by a swipe (11-29)

Virus Scan
  • New - Antivirus scans for the apps installed not from Google Play (11-02)

I don't trust very much some posts in the official forum.
When I ask to check with Wakelock Detectors on the official forum I get no response.

Just flashed this build. Noticed that there is more free RAM compared from Xiaomi.EU latest stable. Maybe is integrated new ram alocation algoritam, who knows. Also battery looks very good for now. Just not tested yet with fingerprint enabled, but will test it, and will write here.

Yes finally looks fixed in Global Stable 8.2.1.0. :). No drain more due to fingerpring sensor. Very Good Build.

Can you post other battery stats?
Is this global version better than the 8.2.2.0 stable by xiaomi.eu?
 
Like SOT. I was on the xiaomi. eu stable and now I've flashed the global one. I'll test its behaviour tomorrow in comparison to the 8.2.2.0
 
what steps are needed to go from stable xiaomi.eu rom to official stable rom?
do I need to wipe data?
 
qfp service's wakelocks are still there...

Impossible.. Personally tested more then 12 hours with fingerprint activated. Posted screenshot before.

I recomend full wipe with MiFlash fastboot rom. Yes data will be wiped in procedure. Make a backup.
 
Yeah I saw it, probably you didn't activate the option in the app to show more stats ( like Android System in our case )
