So doubt of it... Sorry. To be honest.. I doubt that.
You could just have checked the last pages in this thread, the solution is linked on nearly every one.So doubt of it... Sorry.
But one thing, i come here and download here ROM since very long time.. All info were always good and easy to find... I'll never need help since this long time. But not admit that the new procedure is hard to find is a wrong thing... Searching on Google or here with "TWRP android 12 Redmi Note 11" or something like this, i can't find the good procedure easily that katerpanne share just above, or most of time, wrong procedure or opposite informations. So yes, the OP should be updated with the new procedure. It's just an advice that will avoid lot of question about that, because of what i see.. Lot of people ask for the Recovery Update.
Yeah i understand, i just want to make sure if backup will work if something happens , that was just example with magisk. I know that current OF isn't fully compatible with a12 and it was reason of question about using backupSo again what. Reboot to OF and make backup
BUT - if you have problem with Magisk module, you absolutely don't need to reinstall ROM
Have you ever read Magisk documentation from the official Magisk GitHub?
Link is under your nose, open Magisk app and scroll down to find the icon (Follow us section)
Wiki, Module issues, scroll to Modules causing issues... Bootloop, Uninstall/disable...modules from Recovery
Read and you will learn how can you easily disable a problematic module by putting (from TWRP or OF) empty file named disable to:
/data/adb/modules/<problematic module>.
That is the same thing Magisk app will do when you disable a module
See the screenshot
Besides, there is so-called Magisk Manager in Orange Fox and you can eg disable or uninstall any module - see the screenshots
Why do you assume that I didn't read the post? If I am posting a question, its because I read the post and some information in the post is contradictory.Things are clarified in the post #1 - so called OP (Original Poster) posts
Always read OP posts (not just here) before asking.
OP posts are supposed to have instructions and users are supposed to read instructions first
Then I'm puzzled how so many of us made it install eg first Fastboot and later Recovery ROM and we were able to find everything we needed to do things successfullyWhy do you assume that I didn't read the post? If I am posting a question, its because I read the post and some information in the post is contradictory.
If you read the OP yourself, you will realize that it clearly states "Xiaomi devices on Android 12 (MIUI 13) via Fastboot only".
Which means the ROM name for MI 10 Ultra should be fastboot, since it is on A12.
My question is completely valid. People here have a tendency to make information convoluted and contradictory and then get mad when questioned.
I have been flashing ROMs for years, and I can see this contradictory and bad attitude on this forum from users, especially admins. No wonder so many people get confused.
What you've managed to do and what's posted on the OP are different things. Read my previous post. The OP clearly states A12 devices are fastboot only, yet people in the comments here are triggered when someone asks why the ROMs are not labeled "fastboot". You can't have it both ways. You get mad and tell people to read, but the information posted is wrong. Then I'm puzzled how so many of us made it install eg first Fastboot and later Recovery ROM and we were able to find everything we needed to do things successfully
It works the same way for Xiaomi. Connect by USB to PC and choose to charge only or to transfer filesHi folks, is there any way to get the "Use USB for..." notification on MIUI13? I'm on 13.0.8 ROM and I'd like to upgrade to 13.0.9, which is now recovery.
I've downloaded the zip to my PC, the phone is connected via USB and charging, but does not show up in explorer.
On my old OnePlus there was a notification where you could select what to use the USB connection for, and I could transfer the files to the phone then.
Quote the OP poster and ask to update his instructions. Or send him PM aboutWhat you've managed to do and what's posted on the OP are different things. Read my previous post. I am still wondering if it's possible to "upgrade" from TWRP to a fastboot ROM later on again? The release of new MIUI versions (14.x e. g.) is mostly available with some fastboot versions first only. When I install TWRP now and have no way to install a newer fastboot version later on I really struggle installing the TWRP version now...On Mi11Ultra with this boot_a boot_b BS it is just so much more comfortable to plugin and doubleclick the .bat
Flashed twrp to boot_a and messed it up. Thanks
If that happens to you reboot into system "fastboot reboot system"
This will automatically trigger fastboot
Then you can run the update fastboot script from 13.0.12 and all is good again.
Did you try or what is the ground for that your statement?!When I install TWRP now and have no way to install a newer fastboot version later
Is there no notification or is there a notification and no MTP available?Hi folks, is there any way to get the "Use USB for..." notification on MIUI13? I'm on 13.0.8 ROM and I'd like to upgrade to 13.0.9, which is now recovery.
