I've been using MIUI for a long time, just not the original one.
So I must ask:
Can I update the ROM to 2.3.23 from the "Updater" applictaion that is located in the phone?

I think this is normal, it's included in the miui rom
I used that updater many times to update my rom

Mark ,what about the themes compatibility? working good?l mean fully working?
Themes are not compatible as YET, but hopefully when Xiaomi get the act together we shall have FULL v2.3 and v4.0 compatibility very soon.

I would hope that you have read the OP clearly and not flashed a V4 SGS2 on your v2.3 SGS2

The OTA Update for 2.3.23 just appeared on my phone (Nexus S). It downloaded asked to reboot to update, so I clicked OK. It rebooted and now I have a little android with an exclamation mark next to it on the phone and nothing happening. This has happened every time I've tried to do an OTA update (past updates as well as this one - I've always ended up downloadingthe whole ROM form here and flashing manually). Are these Chinese updates that brick the phone if they try to update UK ROMs? If so, is there a way to search for UK OTA updates?

Thanks in advance...

For SGS2 users - you have to manually install the zip from your SD card via recovery. But you need to fully wipe system, data and cache for that.
