Hmmm, is it just me or is anyone else having problems with jb Toro? It will not boot, factory reset x3 & system. MD5 looks ok.

Mine works fine with mp3 files... I have them on ext. SD and on SD Card (internal memory).
Anyway the one thing I really like about this ROM is the music player.

isnt the whole point of free software it can be improoved upon?
That is exactly the point. Xiaomi didn't want to open-source there changes. Therefore it was necessary to start there own implementation and not building on Cyanogenmod. The MIUI extension isn't open source.
install this week update and receive operator logo - Aircel. No any operator in our country with this name.

Those of you who are waiting for JB on SGS2: There is a port called cMIUI which is based on CM9 and not the crappy samsung rom. The developer has just started a work for porting MIUI to CM10 base. I am pretty sure we will get JB on SGS2 withing next couple of days. Just search XDA for cMIUI for more info.

The launcher loads everytime I press the home button after using a Application. I updated it yesterday and its hangin a lot. Please fix them asap. I use Xperia S. I use XSX Kernel 3.5.1 Ealier update was workn fine. I again updated after 2 weeks. I wiped cache and dalvik. And then installed it via SD card. Please Help :'(

Waiting for some support from Qualcomm - once that is sorted out it will come! Don't worry, GNEX Nexus S and MIONE Plus are source built ROMS unlike the other patch rom devices so MIONE Plus will get JellyBean MIUI

Leading from what iBotPeaches said, in addition the translations found in the Stock MIUI.com ROM for English are (terrible!) no disrespect to our Chinese friends at all, just they are not English native like myself and iBotPeaches. This gives us a better opportunity to improve wording and interface actions so they make sense to the user.
We also add fixes and tweaks to better the experience of MIUI for English users and with our multi ROM and support from other translators we provide an overall support no other fan site currently does.

We are going to make sure the latest GAPPS get loaded with next weeks ROM - due to the limited time from release being relatively low-key from China of JellyBean, we didn't have time after refactoring our build bot to do the other overlays required.
Rest assured it is on the to-do list for this weekend. We might even find time to provide a hot-fix but I need to speak to another member of the team first before committing any substance to that promise
Next week, 100% these issues will be addressed and hopefully any other glitches people report via the bug section.

I install latest GAPPS and Velvet - After that, Google now work perfectly for my i9250/maguro MIUI 2.8.17/JBThanks Chris.

I've just updated my huawei honor to the chinese MIUI 2.8.3. it's working great but I have one regret about it. How do I mute the shutter sound from the stock camera app? Or is there a better camera you'd suggest I use?
Apart from the two bug fixes (About Phone and Network Operator Selection (for which I am really grateful for)), this ROM still leaks RAM like a mofo and the lockscreen issue is still there.

Hi all, I've just updated my S2 after not updating for a couple of weeks. looking good so far and I just want to say thanks for all your great work.
I am having a problem with geolocation. I tried replacing network location.apk with the ones from an older build but I had no success. It's as if the applications don't know that the location service is enabled. Whenever I try to use the geolocation feature in an app it asks me enable it in system settings when it already is enabled.
Other than that this is just plain brilliant. Thank you for your hard work.
