[ROM | 4.1.1][ | WIUI | ][ 4.8.29 - FiNAL ] - MULTiLanguage | v4 | v5 | AROMA |

Hi Wajk,
First, tks for your excellent work
Second, i found that my mi2s has camera focus problems, sometimes it can not focus and everything is blur
So how could i fix this problem?
Tks in adv

But I will add new option to Aroma and you should select what do you need.

This converter not made for English users. This is good for Greek, Czech, Hungarian, Spanish, French, Polish, Portuguese and Slovak users. Who use speciel characters.

Thanks for taking the time to answer! I will wait for the next patch/ROM then. :) Meanwhile, I will use another sms apps or download the mms.apk from original MIUI.

Excellent ROM! Torn between this and Stock 4.1 JB from Xiaomi.. battery seems to drain a little faster on this release.. not as bad as the KK ROMs tho..

Ok, I understand. So, "é" is important for you in French, but "é" not supported by GSM. If I allow this character, message will be converted to unicode. But I will add new option to Aroma and you should select what do you need.

Not big improvements. I just optimized audio/photo/video quality settings.
I increased video and audio bitrate settings with +30%-+50% and I reduced lowQ video audio from stereo to mono and some small other optimalizations.
default Miui setting for fullHD video only 8mbps (Nexus 4 default setting is 12mbps)
I increased (+50%) to 12mbps (maximum is 20mbps if i know right, but it's required much more storage)
And what about low framerate(22,5fps) on 13Mpx camera? Is it already fixed or could be fixed in future?

You're right! I checked GSM table, and "é" is supported. Unicode stripper to hard, but I can optimize it.
"á", "ó", "ú" not supported, but "é" and "è" are right. I updated Messages Fix, you can download it again.

Thnx for you feedbacks.

I'm french too and this "messages fix" fix it, but if it's possible i prefer to use MMS from Miui for next update ( on Aroma )

Thanks :)

Last build is very good.
Cpu set to 1.2, did the default aroma install

Got 14 hours of usage, screen time was 4h 50mins!!!

Please share your setup.. WiUi is one of the best battery friendly ROMs but nothing seems to match up to Stock 4.1 from Xiaomi..
While the drain during usage is low on Stock 4.1. WuUi has insane standby/deep sleep battery endurance.. I'm looking for the best of both worlds

I'm using MiCore plus and the undervolt mod and removed many apk by hand (even more than wiui allows to remove during install).
But didn't change much more (this rom is perfectly tweaked).

I didn't oc or uc! Phone is running with full 1.5 GHz together with the voltage tweak it's not even getting hot anymore!

I'm using wsm with many xposed modules for adblocking and auto 2g switch when phone is idle. Also got modified host file to block more ads.

(These "tweaks" help to improve my battery life because I'm Sometimes in places with bad 3g connection which will cause the phone to need more energy. Apps with ads take minimal extra traffic and displaying these ads takes some computing power which results in higher CPU usage.)

Got the 3000mah battery and currently at 4hrs screen on time with 55% left. Had played some games but primary used to read feeds through Feedly (with the app FeedMe).

Thanks for the tips. By the way, what do you mean by the "undervolt mod"? How do you undervolt?

Wajk is offering a undervolt mod for install during the setup from wiui. I'm using this! But you could fine tune it by hand E.g. With the apps "Trickster Mod" or "Performance Control" (it's linked in the wiui mod opening post) or with editing the file created by wiui inside the init.d folder.

Can you make sure that in the next updates, HebMiui will also get updated?
There is a lot of settings/ miui built in apps from miui that are in English.
Also the calender is in total English(for me is fine, but I want the whole experience in Hebrew)
Thanks :)

This is weird. Even with stock kernel I still have around the same number of awake with using MiCore, though it mostly uses 384 MHz. I'm disabling WSM module Mi-Tools, which is my only difference from 4.2.14. I'll re-test then.

Nice. I might try the undervolt mod again. I'm on a Mi2S so I was getting reboots, but that was a version or two ago.

Swyped from my Mi2S

Maybe try to find the fitting settings for your device with the trail and error Principe :D
With a bit time you will find the perfect settings! Every device is different and needs different voltages.
It's a bit hard to explain (english isn't my mothers language :D)

wiui 4.2.28 with mi-core and wjak xtra tweaks.
(cache/dalvik/system wiped)

Received a call and I missed it because volume was way way to low.
Did a test and used to the +/- keys to push volume UP.
But instead volume went... dead o_O

Tried again this time after (cache/dalvik/system wiped) then default installation
Same, ringtone dies if I press +/- keys when phone is ringing
The only way to set the volume for the ringtone is to go to Settings=>Sounds=>Volumes and use slider to set to desired volume.
Can't remember this was occuring in previous Wiuis.

Thx for your help

If you receive a call and press volume keys, ringtones is muted. It's a fast way to mute your phone, if you forgot to do it before, let's say, a movie, an important meeting, in a church, etc. To set your ring phone volume, just press the velume keys in the home screen! (without an incoming call! ;) )

If you choose "Custom", you should check default settings. (checked settings are default)

I can't reproduce it, but I use older Radio for better battery till previous version.
So here is the latest radio image file, from official ROM, pls test it and report back, thnx.
Pls test with stock MIUI kernel, just for test, thnx!

The reboot happened when watching online videos after set the freq to 384~1242 by cpu control. After once I left the cpu control alone, and never get reboot again. I think it is cpu control that makes reboot happen. Thx for your reply.

I did a complete fresh & new wipe-and-format-all-over-start with this wiui 4.2.28.
The GPS couldn't find any satelites. The reason: in /system/etc/gps.conf the NTP-Server is set to Test.

Solution: just edit that file with root-explorer, uncomment the NTP-Server for your region (and out-comment (?) Test). Or, the easier way, install https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Double.FasterFix and let it do that job for you. Then restart, and you're done.

@Wajk Great ROM overall, I just have one problem.

In call sound is buggy, the other side can't hear me properly. Actually they hear me with an underwater effect or with an echo of their own voice. Also, sometimes when I speak a bit faster, some words are inaudible.

I read it might be a problem with the second mic, but I checked single mic noise supression in settings.

What do you suggest to fix this problem?

Thanks for the great ROM!

If you have problem with translation, pls report it here or here to your translator.

Thnx for your detailed report. Maybe MiCore doesn't like if you will try to change min_freq. Just leave it on stock, it's use very unique settings, optimized by Redmaner.

Thnx for your share. gps.conf in WiUi untouched and GPS working right for me.

I can't reproduce it, but Try to set other mic supression settings just for test and after change back if you have still problem. After try Wipe Cache/Dalvik cache and/or try to reflash full ROM. Best way if you redownload it. ;)
