Cm is the android's Debian. Almost the 90% of ROMs has some cm-code or it's based off it, even miui. Cm is a rom with 3 goals
Safe, customizable, professional. It doesn't have useless features like other ROMs, and it keep itself as near as aosp on ux side, but it has a lot of improvements inside. For example privacy guard let you choose which permissions u can give at each app, the theme manager let u mix themes, the performances profiles will set up your CPU settings basing off the app you're running, profiles let you switch your settings automatically basing off where you are, you can choose buttons behavior (tap, 2x tap, long tap) or e disable hw keys and use a navbar, it has a lot of "desktop-linux distro" features like nano, busybox, init.d, zram etc. And it's light with no bloatware or unwanted stuffs.

The motive for F2FS was to build a file system that from the start takes into account the characteristics of NAND flash memory-based storage devices (such as solid-state disks, eMMC, and SD cards), which are widely used in computer systems ranging from mobile devices to servers.

Samsung chose a log-structured file system approach, which it adapted to newer forms of storage. F2FS also remedies some known issues[3] of the older log structured file systems, such as the snowball effect of wandering trees and high cleaning overhead. Because a NAND-based storage device shows different characteristics according to its internal geometry or flash memory management scheme (such as the Flash Translation Layer or FTL), Samsung also added various parameters not only for configuring on-disk layout, but also for selecting allocation and cleaning algorithms.[/hide]

Very easy to implement on next compile : for CWM really easy, don't hesistate to pm me if required. Linuxx or micha plz implement it god damn( add f2fs formatter on next build... I would release a kernel supporting f2fs or even pull to your github to help out)

Firstly, I didn't like you said totaly wrong, when it is not. Or if it was the case you should have taken the time to explain why. Secondly , god 90% you are crazy? Omnirom is taking 60% of cm code. MIUI was using code of cm, but you cann't know sure how much they are taking- or you got sources???-.

I never said it was a google optimmized: i said source were Google's - so stock- and that were optimized.

EDIT: I am not sure of what I ll say so please correct it if wrong: CM IS NOT debian's. It is Ubuntu.(which is debian base)

I don't know. I made a backup with titanium of data and system app and then enabled tdb and restore with the app. All worked fine. But I 'm pretty sure for system app is not recommended.

Yes, it is possible. It is the cleanest and fastest possible way to activate TDB and keep your current configuration.

So far i know there's no other way to install themes except with theme app, but i haven't used miui for a long time, so you should ask someone else

Wrong thread man... Post it on the rom thread you have installed and they'll be able to help you.

It would be nice to update the OP with some info re. the future updates of M1cha's CWM and the one included (and maintained) within official CM 11.
I assume that at the moment they are the same (incl. TDB support).

If you flash miui rom, Cwm should ask you if you want to keep the recovery or change it...something like that...

Using this I can access the sdcard after mounting ums, I can save files from sd to my hard drive but I can't seem to figure out how to write files. Drag'n'drop doesn't work.

Edit: Unrelated but you can use QtADB (ADB gui), mount /sdcard and easily transfer files from and to your device.

Will the automatic CWM update in CM11 nightly also work? (It didn't work until now despite the settings enabled)
And does that mean that I have to reboot into recovery after every OTA update in CM to make sure that everything is fine?

This updated is intended to fix CM updater, yes.
the reboot to recovery after installing recovery thing is just important if you're updating to this new version.
you don't need to do this once it's installed.
