I just realize Xiaomi is actually a phone. so I have wasted my time signing up on your prestigious forum because I own a Captivate, running MIUI ROM V4 build 2.12.14 Jellybean, with Devil 3.1.9.5 Kernel.

As far as I know you're not running an official MIUIAndroid rom, but a port. If you want to run v5 as well you'll have to ask the developer of your rom if he could port this newer version.

I think so too, this is the only ROM that I would consider as being a complete ROM or close to complete all the other ROMs are found wanting.

I've been looking into it still, but no more hotfixes. All my attempted changes can be found in this upcoming ROM.
