3.3.1 (V5)

Hi guys:

I have successfully moved to V5. At the first sight - it looks so good and icons are really damn good and looks soft and nice!!! Thanks and appreciate your good job!! Keep rocking.

Few things:

1. Along with the update it came with a new app " weather" - it did not work when I pressed. So, I send the report back to MIUI.

2. A strange thing. I m in Australia and my provider is " Amaysim". Amaysim provides the network on " yes optus". After updating it is showing "Yes Optus" instead of " Amaysim". Whats wrong? Or should I do something?

3. In my downloaded stuff - I still have old version file - what should I do?

Please let me know..

Otherwise... V5 Rocks!!!

To enjoy the real colors in the V5 theme - it needs more "brightness " of the screen - that means more power on battery.
 
Just flashed, Looks really good, and no isuuses spotted so far; My Antutu 3D score rose slightly, Benchmark dropped 100 pts.
( but its still 20754)

Good work guys :)
 
When my Nexus 4 gets MIUI.. it's gonna be too late. :/ I bet a newer Nexus device has allready been released by then :(

hi, Baski! Glad that you're now an enthusiast with all the ROM updating.

I'm new too. If I'm getting this right, feedback should be to MIUIandroid.com, which is this forum instead of MIUI, because MIUI releases stable JLB ROM (example JLB11.0) while MIUIandroid releases weekly ROM (e.g. 3.3.1)
 
Having Major issues here since updating my MI2 to 3.3.1.

I installed it last night and all was great, loved the theme etc and everything worked. I use Nova Prime and all worked.

This morning I unlocked my phone and my email app wouldnt open, nor would anything else and if it did, it closed straight away.

I tried reverting to the previous MIUIandroid ROM and that wouldnt even get a mobile signal, nothing opened and then after a while it SIM locked...

Back to 3.3.1 and got the signal but apps are still closing on me....

HELP?!

Incorrect, MIUI Android release improved version of official weekly. Xiaomi do both stable and development releases. But your better off reporting bugs here because they don't listen much to international users on the official forum, so you've got more chance of your complaint being heard here, and it'll get passed on as required :)

Hello my fellow dev, may I know is it possible to release this ROM which can be flash using recovery just like the previous one? I really hate to flash the ROM using updater.apk because automatically I cannot flash gapps and control panel as well using recovery after that. Just wonder why this version need to flash using updater.apk only because miui v5 3.3.1 Chinese version can be flashed using recovery.

We built the ROM the same as always. The problem lies within Xiaomi.
 
im having a problem with wifi right now.

everytime i turn on and connect my mi2,my laptop wireless connection drops.

I have a rather graphical issue to report: in the notification area, in toggles page, the brightness toggle doesn't fit in one line (the last s of the word brightness takes a second line) which doesn't look nice.
Another one was the weather app like other users report, it crashed once I flashed the new ROM, giving me continuous crash reports, until I uninstalled it.
 
Question: What will change for us translators, in regards to our repos? Will new ones be created for v5, or do we just stay with those we got?
And correct me if i'm wrong, but there's no v5 english repo yet, right? (Only a DEV repo, which we aren't supposed to translate from..)

I never got the weather app to work either, but there must be heaps of providers for that,I get mine from HD widgets, works like a charm.
My provider name in Norway is also wrong, but my provider sucks, so that's ok as well

Whats slightly annoying is some info added to contracts:

The issue is the info to the right of "mobile" Råneå

I can't seem to edit it,I have no idea what it is supposed to mean, it makes no sense in Norwegian, and has no links to where he lives or [as far as I can see) his contact card...
Anyone ???

Hi,

I also don't use the miui weather app, so it didn't matter that it crashed. I just reported the bug for the devs of the forum.
Now, in my contacts, at the same place where you get this strange, unknown word, mine has the country of the mobile phone (e.g. GREECE). So I guess, in your case it must mean NORWAY in a MIUI v5 language...
And: can you please check your brightness toggle in the notification area? Do you have the same issue like me?

Makes sense - since its screwing up my provider Tele2 as a provider in sweden it seems to think all Norwegian numbers are Swedish and "locate" them to Sweden - "Råneå " is somewhere in Sweden according to Google....

Edit: Auto brightness is one "s" short, but works..
 
Dammit - rebooted the phone, now Email keeps crashing.

Yeah got the same issue with email app as well. I tried deleting the app with root explorer and deleting account but problem still there.
 
Hey Guys:

Before upgrade , I used to have a chinese version of "video app". After upgrade , I did not find that. More over, I do not find any app for video come in V5? I could not find Icon for video app anywhere...

any idea?
