I copied the calculator app from 6.6.14 to the new rom with root explorer and it's working fine

So let me see if I understand correctly - for my device:

- there's miui8 for 4.4 and for 5.1, but the 5.1 is faulty and does work at the moment? (I'm on miui7 5.1);
- for root, all devices must now install SuperSU? (this device still had native root until now)

5.1 works on my redmi2 2014813 perfectly, no problems so far. downloaded the zip, opened the updater app, selected the zip and waited until it restarted again as normal. no wiping or anything else.

root is not anymore in the rights app, you need to install super su.

I have installed "xiaomi.eu_multi_HMNote3_6.6.17_v8-5.0" on my Redmi Note 3, from TWRP, only wipe I did was Cache and Dalvik. Have done it for about one hour and works ok. No bugs found YET. As others reported, calculator is missing from the apps, but probably will be fixed in the next update. I was hoping for MIUI 8 with Android 6 ... but ... who knows, maybe in the future

Installed Hermes on RMN 2 Prime, Freeze on Lockscreen, Sim Card not detected, Crashes and Reboots. Back to 6.6.26. Miui 7. Will wait now, 'till it's better.

I confirm. The same issue on my mi5. Home button seems not fast responsive as mi7 rom.
For the rest mi8 seems working pretty good to be first beta. Good job!!

Update to Miui8, MiNote Lte 6.6.16 , great work, aliexpress is working with older versions until 4.8.5, later there is server error. Calculator is the old version, just extract from 6.6.14 and pass to system app with root explorer and fixed autorisation, everything smooth.

Oh my God!!!, Missing brain in a lot of people with Miui 8, they loose reading capability!!!
Perhaps their brains are with calculator app......

@ingbrzy Bug report: henessy. Status: non-critical. If you go to Settings > Installed Apps, you will see only a few of the installed apps. In order to list all the install apps, you have to 'click' on an application and then go back. That will show the whole list of installed apps.

I'd like to know if this bug is specific for the xiaomi.eu version or not, in order to report it on en.miui.com.

Ok that's interesting. I will try and update it via the Updater app and see if that works. Did you update from 4.4 to 5.1? Or were you already on 5.1?

How many minutes did you wait at the boot logo?

nope.. we are european forum...
If EN + gapps is enough for you, install china and flash gapps...
