Known Issues (Weekly ROM)


Redmi Note 7

When I do not answer the incoming call, the phone don't stay on the lock screen, it unlocks itself and takes me to the desktop. Therefore, I do not have a missed call notification. The screen should remain locked after a missed call. I will add that I don't have any screen lock like password or fingerprint.

Is there a simply solution for this bug?? Thanks

Any filetype search results within google search app can't be opened
Small notification "closed due to unknown issue" pops up.
So can't open any PDF/CSV/whatever search restults.

No issues when using google search within Chrome tabs.


I've tried clearing google search app data, uninstalling updates and installing newer android webview kits.

Hm... It was working without any big issue for me...
It will be really nice to have an optional flashable TWRP "zip" package containing the previous fix (if possible). ^^

Right/left bottom screen corners look weird. Now I'm using eu stable its look normal. I think it is only eu beta bug

Same issue on Xiaomi.eu stable 11.0.5.0

I guess it's Android Q related ?
 
Found AOD bug on mi 8 se.
For example when receive whatsapp message, then it should be appear whatsapp notification icon in AOD.
but instead of that, the AOD will turn off when receive whatsapp message or any notification
Anyone exeprienced this issue?

Cannot confirm on MI 8 running either last weeks beta or 11.0.4/5.0 stable release.
Whatsapp Icon does show up on AOD.


Your report is lacking details..are you maybe using a new feature like the option in latest beta to use colour icons on AOD instead of MIUI icons ?

Well background crashes didn't seem to cause any harm, just go back to the previous fix on next update since I think a vast majority of users would prefer it that way.

I'm having the same problem. I can't change the permission setting of any app. If I try to give an app access to camera or location by pressing "allow", it immediately returns to "deny". I also can't use a 3rd party texting app like Handcent NextSMS as my default texting app anymore.
 
I also can't sign in to Google Chrome. When I open Google Chrome it says I need to sign in but then when I enter my email it says that my phone already has that account logged in.

Reinstall any affected app, that solves it.

Persistent background crashes cause excessive battery drain.

I found microphone bug since 9.12.12 and now still exist on 9.12.19 mi 8 se

When I record sound by using built in apps voice recorder, it reproduce mp3 but it does not have the sound
Same happen when i record a video, only video captured but it doesnt have sound.

Then i restart the device, the problem solved.

But the problem happen again when I receive whatsapp or telegram CALL and they can hear my voice. After that, the voice is missing when I record video or record audio.

Restart the device is only the solution so far.


Anyone have the same problem?
Is there a permanent solution to solve the problem?

Note : Log files starting on 12-22 05:57:59 for the voice recording using built in voice recorder

Hello, I'm on latest beta and still can't get floating (pop-up) notifications. As far as I know there are more users with this problem since November.
Floating notifications are enabled for all apps in settings. However, in Whatsapp Notification Settings the option 'Popup notifications' is blurred/dim/disabled and 'Not Available'. When touched, it says 'Your current Android version doesn't allow popup notifications anymore'. A friend's Mi8 screenshot shows the same.
I also can't get popup notifications on Messenger Lite either.
