Great update but I have a problem with my SMS, It won't open after this update for the galaxy s2

I got the same too on Galaxy S i9100 - rolled back to last week as SMS is pretty crucial to me.

Actually if you look a couple of posts up someone posted a fix for it. Try that it worked for me.

Stefan, if you own an SGS2 there is only Syiah kernel in this moment.
Actually NEAK kernel don't work for MIUI, but Simone201 (the developer) stated that in this weekend will release the 2.03x, finally working with ORIGINAL MIUI.
If you're using releases like Adyscorpius or WIUI (based on AOSP instead of SAMSUNG), NEAK it's already working very good
Take a look at it, because it's the best kernel for SGS2 IMHO.

I am loving the new updates and the incredible work out there. Thank you everyone.

Five Bugs:

1- SMS app doesn't open: I flashed the SMS app from the Chinese version as per the suggestions here. After a reboot, it stopped working again.
2- Cannot switch to 2G, whether through system or through statusbar toggles.
3- Sometimes copy-paste doesn't work properly in text boxes.
4- If I am writing an entirely Arabic text in portrait mode, sometimes you cannot move the pointer within the text to insert a letter somewhere in the middle of it. You can only find move it to the beginning and end of sentences, not to the middle.
5- Phone is not charging properly for some reason. Charges for a while, then stops charging while indicating that it is.

My Updater app tells me I have 2.4.6 installed, that it's the latest version and there's no newer version. I wiped its cache and no improvement. I can update some other way but does anyone else have the same problem?

Update by downloading the ROM from the website, and flashing.

I know, and thank you, and I will, I just wanted to know if it was a common problem and to inform you of it. Also I'd like to use Updater in the future and I wanted to know if there was a fix or workaround. No worries if there isn't though

i want to install this rom... I LOVE MIUI SO MUCH... but i'm facing some wifi issue in the two versions that i used, 2.4.6 and 2.3.4.... wifi goes off whenever phone goes into sleep mode.... I've gone through numerous forums and found that many peoples are facing the same problem..... but I couldn't find a single solution... I tried by setting wifi sleep policy to never, changed kernel to glitch 13.1, set static IP and everything that come into my mind.... but still with no good result.... does this version have this issue too???? i am using SGS I9000 and now on darky rom, but SO want to use miui... please help...
