yes, the rom was fully tested by users and no ones reported issues getting boot now ?

I did just the following:
1) I was on 2.3.16
2) Reboot in recovery
3) Install from internal sd card the rom
4) Reboot and stays at the logo...

I can't understand why, 2.3.16 works just fine..I will try again..

Mms fix:
http://miuiandroid.com/downloads/MmsICS-2TabHack/Mms.apk

This will fix the 3rd tab removal and also bring back the compose bar in the Messaging view. Sorry for the trouble.

sir mark

im having a prob installing ur fix mms.apk . it says application not installed after trying to install it
can you guide me if what do i need to do before installing it?

also, i found out that in the file explorer, after taping any of the icons (afks, zips, etc) the color bar gets zoom in snd disrupts the screen.
hope my info helps.

i also encountered sms received from a contact in my phonebook only their numbers appear. but some are ok.

anyway, youre such a good developer!

adb remount
adb push Mms.apk /system/app/

You can get adb from the Android SDK at android.com

Thanks,

Whoa calm down dude! Relax. Not everyone is an Android Troubleshooting ninja like you. Sorry to say, but noobs still exist in this world.

I'll share the LOGCAT here. Although a simple request for it would have been enough. You've got a grand total of 2 posts in the forums urself, and already u sound like ur carrying the burden of the world on ur shoulder. That's the winning attitude :) *thumbs up*

Sorry from me too... i was just really pissed, cause its a general problem of a forum...lots of ppl just dont care what is written in the thread...just posting their problem....and yeah you were just the latest one :/..again sorry...(but btw. ....my post-count has nothing to do with my knowledge about sth :p...actually i have no idea how this rom is build..)

Okay, i will just try that rom now. Let's see, i am comming from the stock LPQ release.

Dear Mark
Wonderful Work...
Small Clarifications...
Call Reject with SMS is not working in SGSII.
Also i miss the beautiful clock function (sliding the screen dims the clock) which i had in 2.3.16.
What is the horizontal lock function which u were mentioning in 2.3.16? I was continuously scratching my head & could not find it

adb remount
adb push Mms.apk /system/app/

You can get adb from the Android SDK at android.com

Thanks,

Mark

Thanks Mark,

ill try to learn this adb.... actually im a total noob here... im sorry for the inconvenience..

There might be an easyer way for you to do it , get Root Explorer from the market change the premisions to r\o copy and paste the file from your Sd or Esd to your system\app folder and reboot it should fix it.
Correct me if im wrong ofc :)

I have tried several times the same and with the same result.

i think that command will do.. but i already did the adb command...
anyway, sir so much sir Nadav for the support... :)

Still got the double SMS sending problem. Did a clean wipe from 2.3.16 to the newest uploaded 2.3.23. Otherwise the bootloop and SMS crashing problem was gone.
Also, is there any why face recognition got removed as a unlock option?

Thank you for the awesome work you put into this ;)

Guys, why APN's (Internet over Mobile GSM network & MMS) aren't configured automatically like old ROM's, and i have to go to configure it manually.??!!
This was occured before with me on 2.3.16 and after investigation i found APN's are not configured, and also occured in 2.3.23 and i configured manually!

Okay, so summary since everyone is repeating.

  • SMS messages are sent in 2 (double send)
  • APNs aren't auto configured, must be done manually
  • Unlock via Face isn't in SGS2

And why has face recognition been revived from SGS2, it worked fine on 2.3.16:)?

I've tried for a long time now getting ADB doing a logcat, no success..I have no idea what i am doing wrong.

C:\Users\Bla>adb shell
root@android:/ # logcat > logcat.txt
logcat > logcat.txt
/system/bin/sh: cannot create logcat.txt: Read-only file system

As you can see, i should have root access...i also installed Superuser, cause I didnt found it on my device.

Nevertheless I used the MIUI integrated report tool. Maybe one of you (Mark or iBotPeaches) can confirm, that you got an email from me (qoobiz). Its about Firewall and "about phone" Status.

Greetings.
