MIUI 13 MIUI 13 STABLE RELEASE

I already read that multiple times and I already tried that multiple times before I posted my message. Nothing in that guide is allowing me to install the new recovery version of MIUI13 over the fastboot version of MIUI13 because nothing that I have tried allows me to decrypt the data on my phone using TWRP. I have tried the official TWRP and two different builds of TWRP that were referenced in this thread. One is a very recent build from this month. It doesn't work any better than the other two TWRP builds that I've tried. This line in the instructions for what to do if TWRP can't decrypt data is not completely clear to me: "change between PIN/Pattern/Password or remove it and try it again." Does that mean completely removing the pin or changing my pin or switching from PIN to password? And has that actually worked for anyone installing the new recovery ROM over the fastboot ROM? I am trying everything in the guides. I have tried specific solutions people said worked with their non-MI 11 models and those solutions have not worked. That's why I'm looking for something that has worked specifically for a MI 11 owner. I have the Chinese hardware model MI11, not the Global hardware model. I don't know if that is causing any issues but I had no problems installing the fastboot ROM. When I boot into stock recovery it's in Chinese. I have a translation of what each button means and there isn't any way to boot directly into fastboot from the stock Chinese recovery and there isn't any way I have found to reboot from TWRP directly back into TWRP because it goes to the stock Chinese recovery instead. I guess I'll just try removing the PIN and reflashing the fastboot ROM and losing all of my data since nobody seems to be able to give me a clear answer. Thanks anyway.

If there is a functional TWRP for the given device, only the recovery ROM will be issued.
If TWRP stops working when you upgrade to Android 13 (or for some other reason), a fastboot ROM will be released.
I can't tell if TWRP for the MI 11 is working right or not because I can't find a post where someone successfully installed the recovery ROM on their MI 11. Maybe somebody did and I'm missing the post but it looks like everyone who has successfully installed the recovery ROM so far did it on a different model.

Maybe using minimal ADB and fastboot is causing problems and I need to go back to the full platform tools but I have already tried both with no success so far. I even tried XiaoMIToolv2 out of desperation which automates the installation process for MIUI EU and that's failing during the TWRP step which is the exact same place I keep failing with my manual installation attempts.

OK. Removing my PIN did allow me to see the ROM zip on my phone but when I try to install the ROM I'm getting error messages for failing to mount system root, system .ext, and product so I guess that's some progress.

TJank you, but anyway am i able to do OTA, or not a chance?
Not that I have been successful so far but you aren't clicking a fastboot.exe or a twrp.exe installation file. You need to put your TWRP image into the folder where your fastboot files are, open a command prompt window in that folder and then type in the command: fastboot boot twrp.img

That should boot your phone into TWRP where you are supposed to be able to install the recovery ROM zip that you transferred to the internal memory of your phone. OTA isn't going to work if you're switching from the fastboot ROM.

This is the first stable recovery ROM for the MI 11. The previous build was a fastboot ROM. I need to install the recovery ROM version using TWRP for the first time and so far I haven't been successful. I also haven't found a message from anyone else who has been successful with the MI 11. Every person who has been successful so far seems to have done it on a different model.

Anyone tried this new released update 13.0.9.0 for Mi 11(venus) so far ?
Does the wireless charging problem persists?

After my latest failed attempt my phone seems to think that I tried to update via OTA and wants me to hit the update button to complete the process--which obviously isn't going to work since the stock recovery is still installed on my phone. I don't think I've ever had so much trouble installing a custom ROM, let alone an update to a custom ROM that was already on my phone. Taking a break so my head doesn't explode Scanners style. Maybe I'll have better luck later.

Try to upgrade to 13.0.8.0 fastboot rom then install the skkk twrp recovery that supports A12,when you finish then flash the 13.0.9.0 rom via that latest recovery
That should work

I'm already running 13.08.0. Are you saying to reflash 13.0.8.0 fastboot ROM and then go straight to the steps for installing the 13.0.9.0 recovery ROM?

No you are good if you are on 13.0.8.0 because this is under A12 ,now just flash this Twrp recovery for Mi11 this one supports encryption on A12
Here is a tutorial on how you can perform this twrp installation:

fastboot boot twrp.img

look at this guide

196608 KB, you downloaded the wrong TWRP. I was very specific when I said you need the one starting with [REC], that one is meant to be flashed to the recovery partition and is only 100MB in size.

fastboot boot twrp.img

Inaccurate information. Xiaomi 12 series are A/B devices but have a dedicated recovery partition (two slots obviously).
Using the [REC] variant of TWRP ensures that TWRP persists across future updates, since we don't include TWRP for these devices in the ROMs, unlike other A/B devices without a recovery partition.

Doesn't really answer your question, but I used the latest unofficial TWRP that supports A12 to dirty flash and it worked fine. Not sure if I'm allowed to link it here but you'll find it at either xda or the Note 10 Pro telegram group.

i would like to ask if they will release xiaomi.eu_multi_XM11TPro_V13.0.6.0 Fastboot version? thanks

That worked. Thank you.

I haven't run MIUI EU in a couple of years. The next time there is an update can MIUI EU be updated via OTA or will it need to be updated with fastboot again?
