Hi guys
Just upgraded to MIUI 14 from 13 on my Xiaomi 12. Everything works nicely.
Just noticed 2 little things: I can't use the must-have backgrounds as a carousel at the moment - somehow just nothing happens when I choose that option. Also I have VoLTE and VoWifi Icons appearing in the status bar. Can I somehow disable them?

Thanks for the great work

can someone please explain how to upgrade from miui 13 stable without data loss?

You will not lose data when updating. (a deposit is always a good idea)
The procedure is written in the first post of the thread and also in the Update app.

Xiaomi devices on Android 12/13 via Fastboot:
- Download our ROM zip file
- Unpack downloaded zip file in the PC using WinRAR
- Reboot your device to fastboot mode (press volume down + power)
- Connect to PC via USB cable
- Run fastboot installation script from unpacked zip according your PC operating system:
--- For Windows OS - windows_fastboot_update_rom.bat
--- For Linux - linux_fastboot_update_rom.sh
--- For MacOS - macos_fastboot_update_rom.sh

Update on the sms app issue:

I followed the advice on this forum, and downgraded to 14.0.2.0 by using fastboot and selecting windows_fastboot_update_rom.bat this resolved the issue

Hi friends,
I have just tried to update my 12s ultra to xiaomi.eu_multi_THOR_V14.0.2.0.TLACNXM_v14-13-fastboot.
Unfortunately came to this message and got freezed in fastboot mode. Tried down and power off, only power off, but I can not switch on the phone.

Sending sparse 'super' 4/8 (720896 KB) OKAY [ 19.514s]
Writing 'super' OKAY [ 0.001s]
Sending sparse 'super' 5/8 (756848 KB) FAILED (Error reading sparse file)
fastboot: error: Command failed
< waiting for any device >
Rebooting

Could somebody help me to solve this issue?

Thank you in advance.

Long as your in fastboot you can try the flash again.

use WinRAR to unpack fastboot zip
Hi, I unpacked it via winrar. Finally I sucseed to go to twrp mode and to reinstall the older version of miui 13. Than the phone switchwed on without any problems.
After that I went again in fastboot mode, made the same to install the Miui 14 and the same happened:

Sending sparse 'super' 5/8 (756848 KB) FAILED (Error reading sparse file)
fastboot: error: Command failed
< waiting for any device >
Rebooting

The phone freezes in fastboot mode.

Any suggestions how can I install the newer version?

Did you install the driver's for your computer

I'm on 14.0.12.19DEV, will need to upgrade to miui 14 stable. The rom is installed using fastboot and I need to format the data, when the rom is uncompressed and connected to the computer in fastboot, how do I format the data? is it a command line?
Just install the rom with windows_fastboot_first_install_with_data_format.bat option. Your data will be deleted automatically

So we still have no way to fix the Sms(message) issue in the latest build except downgrade to previous version?
