Hey,

I have been reading so many different threads about different roms by different devs some of them just stopped randomly.

Here is a list of roms available for the M2(S)

Edit:
For now I have some experience with different roms and here below is a list of roms that seem most stable and working to me, all have a little description and are discussed in this thread.

Won't take long before we know what is the best rom (battery wise and bugwise :D )

UPDATE 3, final conclusion:
If you want a stable battery friendly KitKat Rom which is almost as good as the QDT14 rom, scroll down to the end of this post!

The most stable rom with best battery life... is QDT14 from Xiaomi, here is how I use my phone with Xposed framework and some other minor changes to get the Cyanogen options back:
I'm using this rom, official Xiaomi Rom QDT14 (Vanilla Android 4.1.1):
http://bigota.d.miui.com/QDT14/miui_NativeMI2_QDT14_44bd255a2d_4.1.zip
Found here:
http://en.miui.com/thread-1885-1-1.html

Actually I use a slightly edited version which you should use instead because of less bloatware and way better camera!! I've uploaded it for you on my Google Drive so you can choose yourself:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0H81qsvg-aNX0JKYW8tVEllYWM/edit?usp=sharing
(M1chaa also edited this rom its on the forum here somewhere... that one has no bloatware and is already rooted, so its better! hehe)
Here is the thread where you can find M1cha's version.
http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/2013-06-29-aosp-4-1-1-qdt14.20990/

Flash with CWM by @M1cha
Wipe Cache and Data (System reset)
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Install Rom

Then flash Gapps, I use CM10.0.x Gapps found here:
http://goo.im/gapps
http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip
After flash, CWM asks if you want to flash new boot, you dont want that, you want to keep CWM I guess.

Then I install Apex Launcher and set it up the way I like it.

I install Google Keyboard found here(So I have my own language when typing):
http://d-h.st/hSX

(This step is not needed when you use M1cha's rom, it has root already)
I use the app framaroot.apk to root the device, look here (Select Gandalf and the app will install SuperSU):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2130276

Then I use Xposed Framework:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401

With Xposed Framework I use Gravity box to get back CM functionality, lots of things are there, just not the android 4.2+ Quicksetting toggles, just search for "Gravity box" in Xposed apps download selection.

I use intelli3g, another Xposed Module, to let my phone automaticly switch to 2G when in standby which saves a lot of battery, when you unlock the screen it automaticly switches on to 3G... there is a lot of other options. Just look at it:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.voidvapps.intelli3g
Here is a thread about this app:
http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/battery-saving-automaticly-switch-2g-2g-3g.23334/

You could also use MiCore for undervolting and downclocking but I do not need it as I get amazing battery life!

Edit:
I'm using this for more then 2 months now and it is fantastic.
You can put the phone in "battery saving mode" but I found out it does not make a big difference in battery life, but it does make a difference in overall smoothness/responsiveness of the phone so from now on I'm using "normal power mode" and it works even better :D

Some tip I got from, I believe it was Paulrlzz, if you want theme support like in CM use this.
XDA XthemeEngine

And here is how to port CM themes to this Xthemer:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2504371

And for all the KitKat fans, use this theme:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2545932

I found out XthemeEngine did not work on my phone unless I flashed it as a system app, it still gives an error when opening the module, but when I click outside of the confirmation box the app works...
So here is a .rar file with, XthemeEngine which is you can flash, this way it will work, Framaroot.apk, GoogleKeybord.apk, Miui Camera for stock rom and a bootanimation which I like a lot more then stock Miui :)

I will add user input on solving small things here, to get this even more complete. Message me if you have some...:
For status bar glitches:
so theres no fix?
Use Xposed / XuiMod - BatteryBar Mod. It will overwrite the glitches instantly.
Dialer / Contacts:
A feature that I miss the most is dialing contacts by writing their name, not inserting phone number. I could bring any contact with only 3 touch most. But with this ROM, I have to insert full number.
Or use some of the dialer replacements, which can handle both dialing & contacts. I personally like exDialer for its simplicity and speed: instead of changing the mode to "contacts list", try to type on dial-pad using the T9 approach and it will filter the contacts by name.

UPDATE 4:
Ivans 4.4 AOSP rom seems to be very stable and battery friendly, so if you are looking for KitKat check out this thread, this post goes directly to the download link and all info is posted after this post, thanks to all people who have tested this rom! :

Personally I'm using cofface's cm11
I don't really know, the rom is stable but sometimes I've got some small problem of restarting phone if I receive a text message while listening music. And I don't know normally battery life is good but that night I lost 46% of battery, it seems that my sms app was running. That the first time I faced this problem.
Anyway the rom is good just missing all cyanogenmod personalisations

All roms use ivan's kernel if that matters.
I dunno which difference are on android side.(they use ivan's code as base at least)

Mmm, oke, and then what's the difference with Ivan's kernel and your open source kernel or is it the same project?
To me it looked like 10.1 for now would be most stable but since that thread stops halfway I can't really make up if it does.

Wish this forum was more organized, its such a mess compared to XDA lol.

Thanks for your help though.

M1cha one
use mako (nexus 4 kernel) = 100% performances.
Battery =good
Support= as nexus 4

Ivan one
use closed source kernel = 60% performances
battery = bad
Support= never know if this will be update or not

The best kernel here is m1cha over miui one

So you're saying most stable version is M1cha, but I read there were still a lot of troubles with that rom, from wakelock to camera functionality. I also know these problems differ from phone to phone. Then again I'm not in a hurry :)

I know you're running it (seen you in that thread a lot of times lol)
I guess I will just go with that one then. And then share my own experiences.

Wouldn't mind if it took another month or two to get a 100% stable build hehe. Let's hope for m1chaa it will become a official CM device then, would be a great reward for its product.

At least the whole project made me decide to get myself an old nexus phone to start learning myself the dev side of the force, not just the flash side.

I like how you insult this forum by saying:

Wish this forum was more organized, its such a mess compared to XDA lol.

Then spam people with PMs and now expect a moderator to clean up your mess. Bravo, good luck with that.

@ moderator: could you please clean up this post. @treiliert is making a

M1cha is a good one but some bugs keeps me away from it, one over all: u cannot make call with earplug because audio go muted (ring sound as well). U must do then withouth earplug and I don't like the idea to fry my brain, cuz xiaomi phones are not so "green", in this way...

in dl :) I'll report any issue in it's thread as usually and thx great work as always :)

I cleaned up this thread.
Criticism is good and can improve things, but not ranting to each other in public.
If you have anything to say to each other, that's fine but start the discussion in a private conversation and keep the forums clean.
Yes the forums are a mess, but starting a public discussion about it doesn't make it better.

If you have an idea, we are open for it. Just send a PM
If you see anything that is rude, not right placed or offtopic use the warn button.
We are not always here and we don't read everything.

And now on-topic please, if you have anything more to say about this.
Send me a PM, keep this thread clean.

Thanks and sincerely,

MA Team

Probably might be better to continue the discussion about the most stable Cyanogenmod rom here.

@RobinHood00 :

This below two scren shots will prove that network toggle is present in the rom, and you didn't try my solution :p

First you need to go to Quick settings panel, next select from the section static tiles the Network modes you want, then it will become activate, now you can add in quick settings tile or in notification drawer
I thought you know this thing
Those are your instructions, could you please show me where these settings are hidden? To me those screen shots look like they are taken on Miui rom?

Ho No, God, I'm not cheating you, I just applied Miui theme, Please see the Mokee thread just now i said the instructions to paulrlz

Lol I found the solution. Thank you. I had to go to "Wireless & Networks" --> "More..." --> "Mobile network settings" and then select "Use only 2G networks" when I selected this option, I found the quick settings tile in the quick settings menu. Really weird!

But you we're right :D

I will post the battery life of mokee 4.2.2 rc4 as soon my phone discarge. For me rc4 is the best cm rom.. after a little more testing, i will try rc6

Hmm , at-least you could have liked my where i jolted down all the steps :p
Lol where? I found this out by myself hehe. You only told me to look in quick settings static tiles :O
You did encourage me to continue looking for these settings :D

I see, well you did share them thanks anyway.. If only I knew this yesterday haha! Now you got two likes ;)

Battery life should be great, but I will share my experiences in a day or two :)

I will edit RC5 myself, I do not like this RC6 version, some bloatware has been deleted but other bloatware has been added. If anyone is interested, I will upload tonight or tomorrow :)

Edit:

Well for now here is the most stable CM10.x rom available for our M2(S) :D :D :D:D:D:D:

Based on Mokee 42.2RC5 rom, I removed all the bloatware, added Google Android 4.2.2 keyboard. Also the camera is improved, using Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition Camera.

This is not the custom MK42.2RC6 rom which had novalauncher and some other bloatware.

Everything is working in this rom and multilanguage.
Camera and videorecording all ok, notification leds all ok, battery life = super!

To disable annoying listview:
Go to system --> Listview Animation --> Select "Off"

To enable 2G, 2G+3G toggle in Quick Settings Tiles:
"Wireless & Networks" --> "More..." --> "Mobile network settings" and then select "Use only 2G networks"

This is off topic but:
Who told you, that Xiaomi phones would be bad in terms of high radiation?
China has more strict norms than Europe! Xiaomi is officially certified.
This phone is actually greener than a Galaxy phone..

PS : Don't know what the mobile signal radiation is called in English.
