Thanks to our Mirror Providers: Magentium IT Services, Link2Caro and Celogeek! without them we couldn't make file hosting this easy. We thank them all 100%.

As we approach more languages our ROM sizes increase. This is one of my suggestions to counteract this. We launch the English ROM as always, except with an optional language pack. This would be anywhere from 5MB to 40MB in size for every device. Then you can simply download that if needed and flash it like any other ROM. It wouldn't have any of the device files in it, just the translated APKs, widgets and what not. This system requires automation and hasn't been started. Just throwing out some ideas.

If you download the multi_update.zip, please rename to update.zip before flashing. The MI One requires this, but I had to rename it to prevent duplicate names on the server.

Thanks,
Connor

Would this zip file be structured just like your rom files? The reason I am asking is because I have my phone encrypted. Currently to update my rom, I copy the newest rom to /system and then extract the update script and binary and just run the binary there. Would I be able to do this with the zip?

I just wanted to throw it out there for the encrypted users.

This is the best ROM I've ever had the pleasure of using. Thanks for being so active and caring about what you are doing. Every time I open threads to look for bugs, I see you all actively participating in the discussions and answering questions. Thank you for everything!

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

I've never heard of that method of flashing, but yes the structure is identical to that of our other releases, just that the APKs have more languages in them this time.

My opinion is to stay with full roms. In the future we could put multilang roms to download via OTA. The size is not a big deal. My site is doing similar things for ports. Full roms (ports from XDA for unsupported devices) + langpacks. People download full + lp that is the same that they would download full multilang rom (oversized). Moreover is that gives other devs at XDA for unsupported devices to get full multilang roms as a base.

And one thing. Language packs will have to be created for each device. Thats twice the work.

:(
Hi

I have a problem, install the multilanguage rom on the HTC Sensation (Pyramid) of less than four icons sometimes disappear after you activate a program, and only reappear when I select any ... .
It 'a bug of the rom or the release of the Sensation??

:(

Very strange. I wonder if that issue exists in the non-multi ROM.

Sorry, but the German Translation in the miuiandroid Roms is not from Gerret84.
It is from Andy25 (MIUI Germany).
Please correct the entry - Thx.

When will MIUI v4 be available for LG Optimus 2X P990?

Probably never to be honest. The specs on that phone don't match Xiaomi's requirements, so it will never receive official MIUI v4. Theres bound to be ports on XDA though.

But ICS is coming out for the phone itself, is there really no chance? :( But thank you for you reply

Is there any way to translate it myself? I'm from Brazil and would love to make a full translation of MIUI to Brazilian Portuguese. My mom also has a SGS2, but she doesn't know english. I'd like to translate it and install MIUI for her. If possible, I'd like to know how to translate and apply it. Thank you very much.

may i know when will desire S start getting updates for miuiV4? sorry if i'm repeating this question as i'm new to flashing MIUI roms and I LOVE YOUR WORK GUYS :)

We use GIT to manage REPOs. It just is easy with everyone managing their own language. Have you ever used any version control software before?

Desire S is one old phone. I think its safe to say that phone won't be getting MIUI v4 officially. Keep tabs on XDA and our porting forum just in case a port is made.

No. I'm not used to firmware editing and stuff. Do you have any guide to show me? So I can translate everything. Or at least me send me files so I can translate and send you back. Maybe you could use my translation as a official language pack. I intend to make a full translation of MIUI.

Ok. Thank you very much.
If I need to contact you, should I write down here, post at your profile, or anywhere else?

My contact information is in that document. Use that, its on the 2nd page. My email and contact. Or IRC (Freenode #miuiandroid - iBotPeaches)
